Expert Technologies Group Partners with Siemens to Launch UK’s First Customisable AMRs

We’re excited to announce that Expert Technologies Group has partnered with Siemens and RMGroup to create the UK’s first fully customisable autonomous mobile robot (AMR) manufacturing capability — a landmark moment for British industrial automation.

Siemens and Expert Technologies Group teams

Our FlexDrive AMR platform, built on Siemens’ SIMOVE core control systems, sits at the heart of this collaboration. It’s designed to give UK manufacturers something that hasn’t existed before: a truly flexible, homegrown robotics solution that adapts to their needs, rather than the other way around. From path planning and obstacle avoidance to real-time dynamic positioning, FlexDrive brings enterprise-grade autonomy to factory floors and warehouses of all shapes and sizes.

Paul Fletcher, Senior Manager at Expert Technologies Group

As Paul Fletcher, Senior Manager at Expert Technologies Group, put it: “Our FlexDrive AMR platform, powered by Siemens technology, represents a fundamental shift in how UK manufacturers can approach autonomous mobile robotics. Rather than forcing businesses to adapt to rigid, off-the-shelf solutions, we’re creating hyperflexible platforms that adapt to their needs. This partnership gives us the scalability and technical foundation to support everything from small-scale deployments to enterprise fleets of one hundred plus robots.

The solution supports everything from autonomous logistics and warehouse management to real-time data collection for digital twin simulations — all designed, built, and supported here in the UK.

Our dedicated FlexDrive website is currently in development, but if you’d like to find out more in the meantime, we’d love to hear from you. Drop us an enquiry and a member of our team will be in touch.
