06 Feb National Apprenticeship Week 2023 – Kyle Marsden
Meet Kyle Marsden one of our talented apprentices at ETG!
We had the opportunity to talk with Kyle and learn more about his journey with us as an engineer-in-training.
Q: What inspired you to pursue a career in engineering?
A: What inspired me to become an engineer was curiosity. I always wondered what made machines work and how they work, which ended up in me taking things apart when I was young. In school I was always drawn towards maths and science so engineering seemed the next logical step.
Q: What do you believe sets ETG apart from others in the industry?
A: ETG continuously offers its apprentices opportunities, making them unique in the industry. As an example, after finishing my level 3, they allowed me to further develop my skills by granting me the opportunity to complete an HNC. The majority of companies don’t do this as they view it as a chance for you to leave and leave for better opportunities. However, ETG strives to have the best workforce it can get and achieves this by developing and investing in its apprentices. They have also given me multiple opportunities to go and work onsite, giving me crucial first hand experience.
We are proud to have Kyle on our team and are excited to see his future developments as an engineer.
