National Apprenticeship Week 2023 – Cameron Meckrell

Introducing Cameron M., a standout apprentice at ETG. As an engineer-in-training with us, Cameron talked with us recently about his journey. Here is what he shared:

Q: What drew you to ETG specifically?

A: When I applied for Expert they stood out to me compared to the other options and always hoped that I would receive an offer from them more than the other companies. The job role I applied for was something I was looking for. I could see from doing some research into the company that the future looked positive with the kind of work being produced by Expert.

Q: What areas of engineering are you particularly interested in and why?

A: The automotive industry is something I’ve always had an eye for as it’s continuously advancing and new products are made. Some companies are clearly competing with each other. It will be interesting to see what innovative ideas, designs and equipment they come up with to surpass and compete with one another. I also like bespoke engineering design as you can use your own ideas to produce something and when it is manufactured you have a sense of achievement when you see it.

Cameron has a bright future and we look forward to watching him succeed.
